Recorder can be a great transitional instrument for younger students who are eager to start learning music but are too small or too young to start with one of the bigger wind instruments. The lessons are available in person at my studio or online (depending on the age of the student). My availability for at-home visits is limited, but feel free to ask if I have a spot.
However it is also a beautiful instrument to focus on and study it a bit more seriously. There is a lot of beautiful music to explore with it. For those who want to go further and learn different recorders in the family, like alto or tenor, you can do that with me as well. And you can take a deep dive into the world of this old instrument, that has been around since the 15th century. With me you can study Soprano, and Alto or Tenor recorder for adult or advanced students.
Beginner age: 6+

GROUP LESSONS
How does it work?
Group lessons consist of 2 – 6 students with a similar knowledge level, so they will either all be beginners or advanced groups. The same type of an instrument would be paired together. So there would be a recorder group, saxophone group or a piano group.
Time duration: lessons are 50min long
Why group lessons?
∙ you or your child can now take music lessons with friends and split the cost
• opportunity to learn as an individual but also have the opportunity to play in an ensemble
• often group lessons improve motivation to practice (due to healthy peer encouragement)
• promoting team building and cooperation
• building confidence and reducing the risk of stage fright because playing in front of people becomes a part of a routine
